Lyrics

Daddy Loves You was on the teddy bear hanging from the rear view
Tears covered the dash of a Chevy Vega instead of a church pew
She looking for favor from Jesus to get an answered prayer
But has never darkened the doors, she's full of vices and swears.
She's not seen or talked to her daddy going on three years, finding out that he's stage 4 has brought grief and fear.
So she reads from a keychain Bible from her Vega not the church pew. And asks God to save her daddy, hoping to get through.
With bloodshot eyes she sees her daddy come out of the church, others hugging and clapping praising God for his rebirth.
Did those tiny words from a keychain Bible get big enough to save or was God already planning to deliver before he got to the grave.
It’s been three long years without her daddy, neither can wait to catch up, that teddy bear was a reminder of daddy’s love.
Did those tiny words from a Keychain Bible get big enough to save or was God already planning to deliver before he got to the grave.
Daddy Loves You was on a teddy bear hanging from the rear view
